Acupuncture & Cupping
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) involves a unique set of diagnostic assessments with the use of acupuncture, cupping and various herbs to effectively treat conditions.
Acupuncture used in the TCM setting is administered systemically in order to facilitate the movement of qi and energy to restore balance, relieve pain and remove blockages. Acupuncture can also be used from a medical perspective which focuses on the needles increasing blood flow, endorphins and anti inflammatory mediators to an area which can also facilitate healing.
Acupuncture can be used to effectively treat numerous conditions as well as become a complementary addition to many other conventional or naturopathic treatment plans.
Dry cupping is a therapy where suction cups are placed on the skin in various locations in order to increase blood flow and circulation and to decrease pain and inflammation.
Some conditions commonly addressed with acupuncture & other complementary therapies include but are not limited to:
- Muscle pain & Sports injuries
- Menstrual Irregularities
- Fertility (preconception)
- Migraines and Headaches
- Digestive Complaints
- Sinus & Nasal Congestion
