Painful periods are the most common gynecologic problem in menstruating women with reported prevalence rates as high as 90 percent. 

In Canada:
60% of women describe their period pain as moderate or severe
51% reported that their activities had been limited due to period pain
17% reported missing school or work due to painful periods

Irregular and heavy periods can be due to a diagnosis of:

  • Anovulatory cycles (not ovulating every month)
  • Endometriosis & Fibroids
  • Uterine Adenomyosis
  • PCOS (Polycystic ovarian syndrome)
  • Thyroid dysfunction
  • Idiopathic (cause unknown)

The program offers group as well as individual support for all of your period concerns. Individual support can include supplementation protocols, testing, prescriptions for desiccated thyroid and topical estrogen and progesterone when required.
